The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has denied entering into an accord with the All Progressives Congress (APC), for Saturday’s senatorial and House of Assembly by-elections holding in Lagos East Senatorial District.
NNPP’s candidate for the senatorial by-election, Mrs. Lawal Opeyemi Adijat, in a statement, said the information that her party entered into an accord with the APC should be disregarded by Lagosians.
“The NNPP, Lagos State chapter, is using this medium to inform the public that it is not in accord with the APC over tomorrow’s by-elections in Lagos East Senatorial District. The party’s candidates for the Senate and House of Assembly polls will contest the elections. “Our party and candidates remain resolute and are prepared for the elections,” the statement said.
Lawal urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disregard the information and give all candidates a level playing field to contest the elections
