Ugandan musician turned opposition politician Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine has criticized the Uganda government for arresting and detaining Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay over a false claim that he flouted covid-19 guidelines.
Recall that the singer, his manager, and Tems were arrested and detained by the Ugandan police after performing at a concert in Munyonyo.
The police had in a statement accused the organizers of the concert of disguising that the event was simply a lunch and dinner show only to invite artistes to perform later at night.
However, Bob Wine accused the Uganda Govt of playing a double standard. He said that Omah Lay obtained the necessary permission to perform under police protection and see no reason why he should be arrested.
