The Federal Government has expressed concern over an alleged sale of COVID-19 vaccines and slots for vaccination in the country.
The permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health, Abdullazzi Abdullahi, who revealed this at the joint national briefing of the Presidential Working Group (PTF) on COVID-19, alleged that some people are selling their vaccination places.
Abdullahi noted that everyone will be vaccinated and also stated that testing rates will be maintained to ensure that positive cases are identified, isolated and treated.
“Everyone will be vaccinated free and everyone will eventually be vaccinated. There is no need to pay to be vaccinated.”
“We are sustaining distribution of available commodities, PPEs and consumables to ensure availability at all times for end users at treatment centres”,he added.
