t’s A Slap On Armed Forces’ Face – Fani-Kayode, Shehu Sani React To Attack On NDA

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy by bandits.

Fani-Kayode said the attack was an insult and a slap on the face of the Nigerian armed forces.

In a tweet, the former minister wrote: “The attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy by terrorists in which an Army officer was killed and two Majors were kidnapped is a big insult and slap on the face of the Nigerian armed forces.

“The terrorists must be hunted and killed and the two Majors must be rescued quickly and expeditiously.”

Gunmen suspected to be bandits had on Tuesday attacked NDA in Kaduna.

Two officers were killed and four others kidnapped during the attack.

The gunmen shot sporadically during the incident.

In the same vein, Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly between 2015-2018, has condemned the bandits’ attack on the premier military institution in Kaduna.

Reacting on Tuesday on his Facebook wall, Shehu Sani said it was disappointing that previous attacks were carried out in the same ward, yet concerned authorities did not take measures.

He said the recent kidnapping of students of the College of Forestry and Mechanisation, staff of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria and now NDA are in the same ward.

He said, “The airport staff that was once attacked, the Federal College of Forestry and Mechanisation that was once attacked, and now the Nigerian Defence Academy that is now attacked are all in the same Ward Afaka in Kaduna. No lesson learned and nowhere is safe; disappointing.”
