SA General Duties/ Surveillance Lauds Gov. Uzodimma On Council Polls

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on General Duties and Surveillance Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma has commended His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma Governor, Imo State for his commitment towards holding the Council elections in Imo State.

Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma made this known to newsmen when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Headquarters of Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) during his ” whistle-stop ” visits to strategic government agencies and allied institutions In the state capital Owerri.

He congratulated the Chairman of Imo State Independent Electoral Commission Chief Charles Ejiogu on his appointment and charged Members ( Commissioners) of the Commission to take their responsibility seriously by ensuring that in no distant time, Imolites will go to the polls to elect Council Chairmen and Councillors that will be the pivot of grassroots governance and development .

He solicited support for the 3R-Shared Prosperity Government of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma whose pragmatic and people oriented policies and programmes are changing the narratives and impacting meaningfully on the well-being of the people.

The Special Adviser Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma further assured the Commission that as a practical and sagacious administrator, Governor Hope Uzodimma will not live any stone unturned in supporting the Commission to deliver on its mandate, effectively and efficiently too.

In his response, the Chairman of Imo State Independent Electoral Commission ( ISIEC) Chief Charles Ejiogu assured the Special Adviser on General Duties and Surveillance that Members of the Commission and the entire workforce are not oblivious of the high expectations of Imolites who from all indications, are looking forward to the emergence of democratic governance in the 27 Local Government Area Councils of Imo State. Hence , the Commission will go the extra mile to lend ample credence to Governor Hope Uzodimma’s disposition towards the re-engineering of an enduring democratic governance at the third tier and, will do so , starting with the issuance of election Guidelines and Timetable that will signpost a free, fair and credible Council elections in due season.
