This week, Apro Media is proud to spotlight Adebayo Adeniyi Adedosu, a distinguished ICT expert and visionary leader, as our Personality of the Week for Week 50.

Early Life and Education

Adebayo Adeniyi Adebayo was born in Ibadan to Chief Madojutade M. Adedosu, a retired senior civil servant in the old Oyo State and astute lawyer, and Mrs. Iyabo Arinlade Adedosuon May 12, 1971.

“Bayo” as he is fondly called, had his elementary education from Abadina Primary School, located inside the University of Ibadan as well as Emmanuel College Primary School, before he proceeded to Emmanuel College High School, Ibadan, for his secondary education.
’Bayo attended the old Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti, now Ekiti State University(EKSU) where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his university days, ’Bayo was a member of Civil Liberty Organisation (CLO) as well as Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR) and was actively involved in democratic struggles during the military regime. ’Bayo was a Students’ Union activist, having contested for the post of Secretary General of the then Ondo State University Students’ Union Government (SUG). He was also a foremost member of the Junior Chambers International, Nigeria (JCIN).

Professional Journey/Achievements

For his career, ’Bayo started with the FEDX RedStar Express (Nigeria), one of Nigeria’s foremost logistics and courier companies as a Customer Service Supervisor, and as a result of his outstanding performance, he was moved to the Sales Department within a year as a Commercial Executive, handling sales in large quantities involving cash transactions. With his fidelity as a Commercial Executive, in 2003, he jointly won the Commercial Executive of the Year Award of the company – a fête rarely won by any male executive of the company in years. In 2006, ’Bayo and his wife relocated to Canada. Before proceeding to Canada, ’Bayo got certificated in Electronic Data Processing at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 1997. On arrival in Canada, he did a career change through Second Career funded by the Government of Ontario. He would go on to obtain certificates in SAP (Materials Management and Warehouse), Business Analysis and Business Intelligence.
’Bayo possesses cognate experience, having worked with notable organizations in Canada both within the public and private sectors in Canada as an ICT Consultant some of which are Rogers Communications Inc. (one of the leading telecommunications companies in Canada)), IronData Solutions, Manitoba Public Insurance, IBM, Ontario Ministry of Transportaion, Government of Canada; Office of the Superintendent for Financial Institutions, Transport Canada, Shared Services Canada to mention a few Government of Canada, where he delivered top quality applications/systems and process services.
In 2014, he incorporated Jago Solutions Int’l Inc, an IT and Management Consulting Firm, where he is the President/Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He continues to use his company in assisting new Nigerian Immigrants in Canada, with job opportunities. In year 2020, he founded a non-profit outfit, Royal Immigration Support Services (RISS) to provide support services to Nigerian immigrants who are new in Canada. This support system is to give them the required pirouette to navigate their new country of residence in the areas of Career Training/Re-training, Employment etc. Not tired of nation building and compassion for humanity, a corollary of his deep commitment to Nigeria and Africa, in 2020, he Co-founded Africa Data Warehouse promoting African voices and empowering the continent through data driven insights to deepen Africa’s democracy and tell the African story. He launched an election monitoring system during the last 2023 Presidential elections in Nigeria that helped to independently collate the results of the election in real time.
