The National Community Ethics and Values Environment Compliance Corps (NCEVECC) is the Unit Department for Investigation and Compliance of the National Agency for Ethics and Values, Integrity Compliance – A newly proposed agency.

Our main objectives shall be to;
(a) Monitor and regulate the activities of establishments in both public and private sectors in order to maintain a high standard of workplace ethics in Nigeria

(b) To develop and enforce ethical standards to ensure that the actions and behaviors of citizens or residents of Nigeria conform to the Highest standard of National Ethics as provided in Chapter II of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. It is important to note that our Bill has been passed by the 9th National Assembly and now awaiting presidential assent.

NCEVECC is presently in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Environment (FME), Federal Ministry Of Health, The Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Electrical Management Services Agency (NEMSA), National Environment Standards Regulatory Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and other relevant MDAs by carrying out operational activities in all the 36 States of Nigeria.

The commission is calling out on the youths of Nigeria at large to join the National Community Ethics and Values Environment Compliance Corps (NCEVECC) to jointly build Nigerian society a better and more peaceful atmosphere for every Nigerian citizen.

In an interview with the Secretary to the Bayelsa State National Ethics, Values, and Integrity Compliance Office, Mr. Powei Abazi D.C, He said youths in both urban and rural areas are struggling for direction to survive, and positive opportunities are needed to keep them safe and on-track. According to him, many youths from poor parental upbringings and broken homes reportedly use cigarettes, marijuana, drugs, and alcohol, and involves in crime more than adults in the State. Therefore, there is now a growing demand in education to inculcate, nurture and develop values and ethics, particularly among the youths of Bayelsa State.
He also said that poor environmental quality is increasingly recognized as a major threat to social and economic development and even to human survival. He further said that the impacts of environmental deterioration are severe in the state, thus hindering and undermining our development. The living environment is well polluted owing to social misdemeanors of indiscriminate littering, improper domestic wastewater discharge, and poor sewage disposal. These behaviors promote unsanitary living conditions which result in the breeding of communicable diseases in our “Dear State, The Glory of all Land.” Therefore, the National Community Ethics and Values Environmental Compliance Corps (NCEVECC) Bayelsa State Command appeals to the State Government to collaborate and support their community-based youth-oriented programs to help our youths and communities to promote a moral, sustainable, stable, and ethics-oriented Bayelsa State.

NCEVECC has structures in both National, State, LGA, and Community. The operational office is currently at F26 Due Process, Ovom, Yenagoa. You can call for more information, support, and partnership;

  1. We encouraged Mr. President, Bola Tinubu Ahmed to assent the National Agency for Ethics, Values and Integrity Compliance Bill. This will surely promote consciousness of service delivery in both public and private organizations in Nigeria. It will also create job opportunities for our youths
