“OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE.”

#Throwback to when the Honorable Minister of State for Defence Hon. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle reinstated the disbanded Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) during his tenure as the Zamfara State Governor. The volunteer security group, known as ‘Yansakai’ or ‘Askawara,’ was to support security forces in the onslaught against criminals in the state. However, the opposition, funded campaigns, and phony supporters on and off the social media to go against such initiative and are unable to back this.

We are all aware that insurgencies most commonly affect our state. But, Matawalle attempts every tactic under the sun to combat this insecurity, including dialogue (Sulhu), telecom bans, and the use of force. Doesn’t he deserve applause?

Without the support of the citizens the government is attempting to protect, no initiative will be able to last. Kudos to H.E. Dauda Lawal for breaking it down to layman’s terms. We hope this brings positive, lasting change in restoring peace to our dear state.

In the end, let’s know that the lives of people are not something to play politics with. I call on the people of Zamfara State to support the CJTF in all means possible to help in lasting peace.

What just took place today in Zamfara State all in the Name of ASKARAWAN ZAMFARA is just a mere copy and paste from the previous administration of Matawalle Maradun initiative.

Our hearts go out to the kidnapped female students at Federal University Gusau, wishing their reunion with their families soon.

Matawalle has tried his best in seeing an end to the menace of insecurity in Zamfara State and the North West as a whole.
