Protect Senator Akpabio, Preserve the Sanctity of National Assembly

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, The Chairman, Senate Committee On Local Content, a first timer in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, has enjoyed the benevolence and magnanimity of the 10th senate through the leadership of the President Of The Senate, Godswill Akpabio.

Senator Akpabio gender sensitiveness is non debatable. His all inclusiveness in the legislative business is glaringly clear for all to see. His love and respect for both the male and female legislators speaks volume, hence the overwhelming support he and the 10th National Assembly enjoys, especially as it concerns legislation.

Good leaders deserve to be protected at all costs and at all times!

Senator Natasha Akpoti, as a first timer and a non-member of the then ‘stability group’ who was not privileged to be a part of the inauguration of the 10th Assembly and was never a party to the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as the President Of The Senate, was again privileged and chosen to be part of the delegation of Senator Akpabio to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in far away Tanzania. She enjoyed same honour Senator Akpabio was accorded during the parliamentary engagement.

The 10th Assembly has provided a leveled ground for women participation in the National Assembly of which, Senator Ireti Kingibe, is the Chairman, senate committee on Women Affairs and Vice Chairman, Senate committee on Poverty Alleviation & Social Welfare.

Senator Akpabio, runs an all inclusive legislative leadership while prioritizing the needs of the people.

It is important to note that, the President of the Senate was never against the motion raised by Senator Natasha Akpoti, rather, he sought to know the validity of the structure set up to manage the facility and government funds in deploying subsidized rates. And it is within his prerogative to do so.

Let’s stop the hate and campaign of calumny against the person of Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, he means well for our beloved country, Nigeria.
