Ndom Oganihu women holds August meeting, strategizes on Hope Uzodimma’s second term victory
It was a gathering of funfare and joy as women of Ndom Oganihu women of Obeakpu, Umunoha autonomous community held their annual August meeting on 18th August, 2023.
The president, Lolo Happiness Anozie welcomed the women to yet another August meeting, she admolised them to continue to be good ambassadors, she challenged them on the need to come together to form a common front in ensuring that one of them, Dr Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru becomes the Deputy Governor of Imo state by voting massively for APC during the November 11th Gubernatorial election.
She thanked Gov Uzodimma for finding Dr Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru worthy to be his running mate
The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Uzopuo Charles Nnamdi, admonished them to be good wives and mothers, he enjoined them to engage in farming, he canvassed support of APC and Uzodinma/Ekomaru ticket, especially as Lady Chinyere happens to be one of them, and listed the achievements of the governor, Hope Uzodinma to buttress his points.
The APC Deputy Governorship candidate and her husband also took time to ask for their support in the Nov 11th election, telling them all the good qualities of the governor and reasons why both of them should be voted in.
Other events of the day; dancing by the Oganihu young women, Award of Ezinne title to four members of their group for their achievements as good wives and mothers and contribution to their Organization.
The high mark of the occasion was the admission of young/new members to their group which Dr.(Mrs) Ifeoma Uzopuo, the wife of our own Dr. Uzopuo Charles was one of the newly admitted members.
Some of the dignitaries in attendance were; Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, deputy governorship candidate of APC in the Nov.11th, guber election in the state, her husband, Chief (Bar) Chukwuma Ekomaru, SAN, Hon. Stanley Ihenacho, Mr. Stanley Nwosu etc.
The women also lunched their constitution to act as a yardstick for their conducts and better running of the organization going forward.
Indeed, with the energy displayed on the day, it is safe to say that Ndom Oganihu women group, Obeakpu Umunoha, are ready not to let the ‘Gold mine’ slip away from them, they have resolved to massively mobilize the grassroots for the electoral victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma and Dr. Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru
