A Sickle Cell Foundation recognized the efforts and advocacy by 2020 Big Brother Naija winner, Laycon, and have made him an ambassador for the Sickle Cell Global Advocate.
He was giving the recognition when he stormed the premises of the foundation and taking to his Instagram page, Laycon promised to use his platform to help erase the stigma attached to persons with sickle cell and create more awareness about it.
In his words:
“I plan to use my God-given platform to create more awareness about Sickle Cell Disorder in Nigeria and beyond. To everyone with sickle cell disorder, do not be intimidated. You can achieve your dreams once you put your minds to it. Never allow people define you.”
