Chelsea are in talks to sell Tiemoue Bakayoko after three disappointing years at the club, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Bakayoko has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and could be on his way to AC Milan.
Bakayoko has spent the last two years out on loan after failing to impress at Stamford Bridge.
The French midfielder joined from AS Monaco back in 2017, but fell out of favour shortly afterwards.
He only lasted one season at the club before being sent out on loan to AC Milan.
He impressed there, and the Serie A giants wanted to keep him permanently.
The two clubs couldn’t reach a deal, however, and he subsequently went back to Monaco last summer on loan.
Having now returned to the club, it appears he has no future under Frank Lampard, and is set to leave again on loan.
Romano reported on Tuesday evening that Chelsea are in talks with Milan over a one-year loan deal for Bakayoko, with an optional €35million [£31m] to make his stay permanent next summer.
Chelsea are set to spend big on defensive reinforcements this summer, with a new centre-back, left-back and goalkeeper wanted.
