A carrot facial pack is very effective for facial skin restoration and aids you feel fresh, firm and revives the skin immediately after use. This is due to the carotene contained in carrots. Carotene is a component that contributes to the colour of the carrot and once it is absorbed into our body, it turns into Vitamin A. It also functions to prevent further skin problems by forming a skin protective films to maintain balance for our skin.
The benefits are many. I usually use the carrot oil mixture for hair and skin, I mix it with vitamin E oil or any essential oil, and Shea butter and it works like a magic. I have lemon infused oil, coconut oil already posted on the blog, I will include the links below so check them out.
After you’re done and you’re ready to use the carrot oil you can mix it with a few drops of essential oil like rosemary, lavender oil, Vitamin E et al, you can add the carrot oil to your body/hair cream, or Shea butter.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR GLOW OIL
INGREDIENTS
2 or 3 carrots
2 Cups Coconut Oil (you can use extra olive oil, olive oil)
METHOD
1. Clean and scrape off the carrot, by using a potato peeler or a knife. You can also grate the carrot by using a food processor or a grater.
2.Place a pot on a low heat and add coconut oil or any oil (I recommend coconut/extra olive oil/olive oil) you’re using in the pot, add the grated carrot. You can also use a slow cooker to infuse the carrot oil. The point of using low heat or slow cooker is not to cook the nutrients in the carrot.
3. Mix the shredded carrot with oil and let the carrot absorb all the oil.
4.Leave the mixture for about 15 – 20 minutes, check and stir.
5.Allow the carrot to infuse for another 10 minutes.
6.Take it off the heat and let it cool down.
7.strain the oil by using a sieve to separate the oil, and bottle it up. Your carrot oil is ready. After you’re done and you’re ready to use the carrot oil you can mix it with a few drops of essential oil like rosemary, lavender oil, Vitamin E… you can add the carrot oil to your body/ hair cream, or shea butter.
