In the same time, just few days ago the Ogbunike Community in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State was agog with the formal inauguration of the Soludo Promoters Forum (SPF) in their domain
The event which took place at Nze Caleb Umenyiora’s residence, Umueri, Ogbunike, was well attended by all the distinguished sons and daughters of the local government.
It was a roll-call of ‘who is who’ in the ancient community with the cerebral and very hardworking Dr Nnabuike Osadebe as the Chief Convener directing the proceedings from all corners
The highly revered Dr Nnabuike Osadebe was very philosophical and full of praises while welcoming the distinguished guests to the occasion.
He said it is no longer news that Anambra is searching for a personality to succeed the incumbent governor, His Excellency, Willie Obiano by 2022.
He emphasized it is not in doubt that Anambra state (The light of the Nation) is highly blessed but needed the right person to harness and make judicious use of the state resources that will further make Anambra and Ndi-Anambra greater
Dr Osadede said the SPF inauguration in Egbunike is historic as it is the first time in the history of the entire local government area that the elites in the various communities came out to “de-market their indifference to politics and governance”, stressing that the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is to be governed by less qualified and inferiors political jobbers
Dr Osadebe told his audience that as the elites in the state/local government, they have beamed their searchlight on all candidates aspiring to become the next governor of the state and found Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo as the ‘best amongst the aspirants,’ who is well prepared to take the people of Anambra state to the promised land
“Soludo’s verifiable track records as public and civil servant has given credence to our justifications for his choice as the most credible candidate and most suited for the governorship job in our beloved state.” He further said
Dr Osadebe while concluding his speech said Prof Soludo as an erudite scholar par excellence, great economist and super lion has all it takes to move Anambra state to the next level of phenomenal development
“Oyi chapter of SPF is convinced that you won’t disappoint us because you possess all it takes to steer the ship of the state towards a solid economic hub which you have clearly been advocating and dreaming of.” Dr Osadebe stated
He thanked Mr Joe Anatune Lead Facilitator/Strategist of SPF and Prof Okey Ikeanyibe for their respective roles in the formation of SPF in Oyi.
He also appreciated all the community coordinators for doing a good job
Responding on behalf of SPF, Mr Joe Anatune thanked Dr Nnabuike Osadebe and other coordinators for the great efforts and zeal they have expended in bringing to life the formation of SPF in Oyi.
Anatune also took time to unveil and explain the Anambra Smart Megacity plan being championed by Soludo, which is designed to make the state prosperous, secured and most livable in the entire African continent
The occasion was also graced by Chief Anene C. Osadebe, (Aka-Eze Ogbunike) and substantive Chiefs/Members of the Igwe’s cabinet council with Barrister P.I Obichukwu as the chairman of the event
The event later came to a close as speakers after speakers took turns to eulogize Prof Charles Soludo for his sterling achievements while also assuring him of their unflinching support for his governorship ambition.
