Nigerian Singer, Oluwatosin Ajibade, best known as Mr. Eazi has bragged about his celebrity status in a recent post. The Empawa music founder in a recent tweet he made, thanked God for making him a “Global Superstar.”
For several months, tweeps have seen many repetitive tweets from the boyfriend of Temi Otedola, always stating “Thank God For Keeping Things Running Smoothly,” or something in regards to praises and adoration of the creator. This time, he is thanking God for making him a Global Superstar.
Some people might disagree with his statement but to some extent, Mr. Eazi has every right to claim that status for himself.
He has over one billion streams on Spotify music alone, across all music credits. He was listed among the nine Nigerians who were part of Forbes Africa 30 Under 30.
He emerged as the cover of Billboard Magazine in May 2020 edition.
In September 2020, he signed a publishing deal with Kobalt Music, one of the world’s largest and innovative music companies.
In that same year (2020), he became the first African act to have his song peak at Number 1 on Billboard Digital Sales; the song was ‘Oh My Gawd’ with Major Lazer and Nicki Minaj.
