Khafi Makes Music Debut, Releases EndSARS Inspired Song “Commander in Chief”

Reality star, Khafi Kareem has made her first attempt at music as she releases her debut single ‘Commander in Chief’.

The song was inspired by the series of events that happened during and after the #EndSARS protests which happened two months ago.

The ex-MET Police Officer featured gospel singer, Gabrielle and announcing her new song to her followers, she wrote,

Sharing the video, she wrote,

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’ve just released my first ever song… 🎤🎶 Sunday saw us mark two months since the #lekkigenocide and other atrocities in Africa are still ongoing, as well as my own families quest to get justice for the murder of my brother Alexander Kareem.

When I heard the song Commander in Chief I just knew I had to do a cover. Myself and @gabrielle.worship recorded this on her computer in her bedroom back in October but I’ve only just had the courage to share it with you all. It was my first time recording my vocals and may not be perfect, but the message is clear.

Our leaders should protect us and these things shouldn’t be permitted to happen. I hope the song blesses you, and that you understand it. As well as English I sing in Hausa and Yoruba in the track. For those who can, translate what I say in either language in the comments below and I will pick someone at random to receive a credit alert from me.

Also everyone who uses the song in their stories and tags me will be reposted. Let’s send a clear message to our leaders that we will not forget. #ENDSARS
