Nigerian students have expressed their feelings over the decision of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) to call off its 9 months long protracted strike, saying that the leaders have no regard for their future.
After several months of deliberations and meetings, the union announced its decision to suspend the action, which has taken one full semester from the academic calendar.
Nigerian students immediately took to social media to express their feelings, with some noting that they had taken to other side hustle within the period the strike lasted.
Others also welcomed the decision, while urging the government and the union to ensure that such does not repeat itself again.

@EkpeA1 ASUU wants salaries to be paid before resuming the strike again. The timing is apt. After all the schools can not resume this December.
@yenkataiwo Sometimes, headlines nauseate and sets one off the day’s tangent. What is so breaking about ASUU strike? How many governments worldwide would allow educational comatose for a whole year. As far as am concerned, this is not a cheering news. Manifestation of brain-drain already.

@Slikyj1 What’s Asuu bringing to the table? Is the Nigerian university and educational system curriculum anything close to international standard or they are just busy thinking on how they can enrich their pockets using strike as a medium.
