Personality Of The Week: Obinna Nwosu

Prince Obinna Lawrence Nwosu was born on the 13th December 1990 to the family of His Royal Majesty Eze Sir Uzo Nwosu JP and Ugoeze, Professor Ngozi Nwosu JP (Umukabia Autonomous community, Abia state). He was born in Sokoto state, where he had most of his primary and secondary education.

He has a BSc in Mathematics  from Nasarawa State University, and served in Edo state for his National Youth Service Corps. He proceeded to England for his MSc in Investment and Finance.

On returning to Nigeria 2015, he had a stint in the private sector before deciding that his future was in public service.
In 2017, he started working with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment and was deployed to Abia state. His experience working in Abia made him realize that there is so much that has been left undone from abroad perspective. This activated a divine burden in his heart to run for an  Office to champion the resuscitation of a new Abia state, and reposition the state to her beautiful trajectory during the days of Micheal Okpara. After 3 years working in Abia state, He was recently deployed to Abuja where he is currently adding his own quota to nation building.

Aside from his BSc and MSc in Investment and finance, Obi is a Certified National Accountant (CNA), an Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), and has a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (CBA) from Wales, as well as a host of other professional certifications. Obinna is currently enrolled in the unconventional school of Politics, Policy and governance (SPPG).
Obinna Nwosu is a London trained freelance Finance and Oracle database consultant. From his childhood, Obinna has always been very passionate about Abia state. Though growing up in sokoto state, as a child, he would always insist on spending his Christmas, Easter, and long holidays in his home state. He is well experienced and very rational in thinking. He considers himself to be a bridge between the young and the  old generation. He believes that he is at the perfect age to lead Abia state into a 21st century prosperity as he has the required mindset and skill-set to lead. He is, therefore making consultations and preparing to run for the House of Representative 2023. According to him, Abia has so much God-given potential which is under-utilized. He considers himself as the guy for the job, and that the constituency would be making a sound decision by voting him to represent them in 2023. He wants to bring our best minds together, young and old, men and women so that Abians can collectively resuscitate God’s own state.
Obinna Nwosu is well travelled nationally (over 25 states) and also several countries internationally. He is a freelance finance and oracle database consultant. His role models are His parents, Late Micheal Opara who happens to come from the neighboring village and Prof Kingsley Moghalu.

His hobbies are working out, reading and listening to music, with his favorite writers being Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Ben Carson while his artist are Bright Chemezie, Phyno and J.Cole.
Obi speaks fluent Igbo, Hausa and English. He is a core humanitarian, and has a big heart for helping others. He is Happily married to the love of his life Mrs Mary Nkem Nwosu (CNA) from Ibeku, Umuahia and they are blessed with a son.
