Titilope Gbadamosi-Adebayo is a young politician from Oyo State, she’s a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Titilope served as a Special Assistant to the former governor of Oyo State, Governor Abiola Ajimobi between 2017 – 2019. She is an active member of the APC Youth Lobby Committee where she has contributed immensely to the growth of young people in the party.
She is the founder of Women Too Africa, an NGO which supports the inclusion of women in different careers and pursuits especially politics. She is also the propeller of The Ward Up campaign, an initiative she started to promote the interest and participation of young people in party politics, pushing for their involvement from the Ward level up.
Titilope Gbadamosi Adebayo is a budding academic with interests in the area of Pragmatics and peace linguistics. She earned a B.A (Ed) in English Education from the Ekiti State University and further bagged a Master’s degree in the department of English, University of Ibadan.
Passionate about education and youths, she has written several published and widely read articles on the importance of educational relevance in the society, amongst which are : Haste and Waste, the limiting choices of the Nigerian Undergraduate and Education as a tool for social relevance.
Premised on her passion for peace and conflict resolution, she further proceeded for a course at the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan, where she learnt the skills and earned the rights of a chartered mediator and conciliator after being duly inducted. These skills were put to good use when she was appointed as SA on Community Relations to the Former Governor of Oyo State, Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi of blessed memory.
Titilope has joined her strength with other youths in the society by encouraging the interests of youths especially young women into the political and leadership space. This passion led her to start the Follow2Lead Initiative, a platform for encouraging leadership and keen followership of key government activities and policies in Nigeria.
She is currently a post graduate student at the University of Ibadan, as she climbs higher on the academic ladder to ensure that her input is relevant in solving today’s societal issues.
