Manchester United has appointed a new manager ahead of next season. The Red Devils has been without a permanent manager since the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Ralf Rangnick taking over on interim basis.
The German will now leave the post for the new permanent manager Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman will join the Red Devils in the summer from Ajax and will hope to bring back the glory days at Man Utd.
Manchester United released an official statement on their website to confirm the appointment of Erik Ten Hag as their new permanent manager.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce the appointment of Erik ten Hag as Men’s First Team Manager, subject to work visa requirements, from the end of this season until June 2025, with the option to extend for a further year,”” the club stated.
“John Murtough, Football Director, said: “During the past four years at Ajax, Erik has proved himself to be one of the most exciting and successful coaches in Europe, renowned for his team’s attractive, attacking football and commitment to youth.”
