Julius Agwu, the comedian, has weighed in on the dispute between his colleagues AY and Basketmouth.
AY and Basketmouth have been in the news over their lingering feud.
Addressing the reason for their rift, AY had said it started over money he is yet to receive for a show he anchored for Basketmouth.
Responding to AY, Basketmouth described his colleague’s account of the incident as “lies”.
He added that they were never friends.
In a recent interview on Naija FM, Agwu said he thinks there’s more to Basketmouth and AY’s feud than just the N30,000 payment.
He also mentioned that there may be reasons why Basketmouth is upset with AY, but he has not made it clear.
“I no think say na just the N30,000 maybe there’s more. Yes, na we dey backstage we no go fit know,” he said in pidgin English.
“Maybe e get another thing we dey vex them, wey dey carry for mind wey make e no fit come.
“So it depends on them, maybe Basketmouth dey vex for another thing but he no bring am clear.”
The comedian also said he began his Easter show ‘Laugh For Christ Sake’ long before AY started promoting his.
Agwu added that he called AY to tell him that the day for his show is his date but he hung up on him.
“When you talk about some certain things like ‘Laugh For Christ Sake’ you know say I don start am since,” he said.
“It was even celebrated every Easter Sunday before AY begin do promo say e dey do one show.
“I call AY dey talk to am say that day is my day, AY cut phone for my neck.”
