Trial Of Policemen Who Brutalized #EndSARS Protesters Ongoing- Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has confirmed that the orderly room trail of police officers who assaulted some #EndSARS protesters in Surulere has commenced.

In a series of tweets, the Governor while confirming the trail began on Friday, said some of the victims attended the trail and will testify before the panel next week assuring that the victims will get justice.

It would be recalled that a viral video went out on Monday showing police officers attached to Area C headquarters in Surulere dragging two ladies and physically assaulting them.

A music producer, Oja B was also assaulted while his mother was allegedly slapped by a police officer at the station for demanding to see her son.

“Justice will be served. Thank you to the team actively following up and helping victims.

“There is so much more to be done and I will keep sharing the actions we are taking in line with my announcements,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The Governor also commended the candle light procession that the protesters held for late victims of police brutality saying that it was a moment that calls for reflection.

“I have seen powerful images and videos of the #CandleForSARSVictims vigils held across the country. It calls for very sober reflections,” he said.
