ROYAL HOMAGE AND STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT WITH HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, THE OONI OF IFE

*1. PURPOSE OF VISIT*
The Founder/National Coordinator of the *Youths on Ground Progressive and Mentorship Initiative, YOG*, Dr. Obioma Nwuba, led a delegation on a royal homage to *His Imperial Majesty, The Ooni of Ife*.
The visit was convened to:
1. Formally introduce YOG as a structured, national youth movement committed to mentorship, civic engagement, and grassroots empowerment.
2. Present the *YOG Quarterly Magazine – Q1 & Q2 2026 Editions* to His Imperial Majesty.
3. Seek the royal blessings, guidance, and strategic partnership of the foremost traditional institution in Yorubaland for YOG’s nationwide mobilization and empowerment agenda ahead of 2027.
*2. KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ENGAGEMENT*
1. *Formal Introduction of YOG*: Dr. Nwuba presented an overview of YOG’s mandate, structure, and impact across the 36 States and FCT. He emphasized YOG’s unique model of using *Agro-Technology, Mentorship, and Civic Education* to build organic grassroots mobilizers and support national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
2. *Presentation of YOG Quarterly Magazine*: Copies of the *YOG Magazine for Q1 & Q2 2026* were formally presented to His Imperial Majesty. The magazine documents YOG’s key interventions in youth empowerment, leadership development, health advocacy, and community peacebuilding.
3. *Royal Commendation*: His Imperial Majesty expressed delight at YOG’s achievements within a short period. He described YOG’s grassroots structure and focus on skills over handouts as “timely, visionary, and aligned with the needs of Nigerian youths.”
4. *Royal Commitment*: The Ooni of Ife pledged *royal support and fatherly guidance* to the Youths on Ground Movement. He affirmed the Palace’s willingness to partner with YOG in advancing youth development, unity, and national cohesion.
